   11"As for me, (C)I baptize you [a]with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; (D)He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

   12"His (E)winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will (F)gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the (G)chaff with (H)unquenchable fire."

Matthew 28:18-20

18And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "(A)All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

   19"(B)Go therefore and (C)make disciples of (D)all the nations, (E)baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

   20teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, (F)I am with you always, even to (G)the end of the age."

Mark 1:1-13

Mark 10:37-39

37They said to Him, "Grant that we (A)may sit, one on Your right and one on Your left, in Your glory."

   38But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you able (B)to drink the cup that I drink, or (C)to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?"

   39They said to Him, "We are able." And Jesus said to them, "The cup that I drink (D)you shall drink; and you shall be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized.

Mark 16:15-17

15And He said to them, "(A)Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

   16"(B)He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

   17"These signs will accompany those who have believed: (C)in My name they will cast out demons, they will (D)speak with new tongues;

Acts 2:37-39

37Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, (A)what shall we do?"

   38Peter said to them, "(B)Repent, and each of you be (C)baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

   39"For (D)the promise is for you and your children and for all who are (E)far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself."

Acts 8:12

12But when they believed Philip (B)preaching the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were being (C)baptized, men and women alike

Acts 8:35-37

35Then Philip (A)opened his mouth, and (B)beginning from this Scripture he (C)preached Jesus to him.

   36As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look! Water! (D)What prevents me from being baptized?"

   37[[a]And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."]

Acts 9:17-19

17So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after (A)laying his hands on him said, "(B)Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be (C)filled with the Holy Spirit."

   18And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized;

   19and he took food and was strengthened.

Acts 10:46-48

46For they were hearing them (A)speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered,

   47"(B)Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who (C)have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?"

   48And he (D)ordered them to be baptized (E)in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.

Acts 16:32-34

32And they spoke the word of the Lord to him together with all who were in his house.

   33And he took them (A)that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household.

   34And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, having believed in God with (B)his whole household.

Acts 19:1-6

1It happened that while (A)Apollos was at (B)Corinth, Paul passed through the (C)upper country and came to (D)Ephesus, and found some disciples.

   2He said to them, "(E)Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" And they said to him, "No, (F)we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit."

   3And he said, "Into what then were you baptized?" And they said, "(G)Into John's baptism."

   4Paul said, "(H)John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people (I)to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus."

   5When they heard this, they were (J)baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

   6And when Paul had (K)laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began (L)speaking with tongues and (M)prophesying.

Acts 22:12-16

12"A certain (W)Ananias, a man who was devout by the standard of the Law, and (X)well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,

   13came to me, and standing near said to me, '(Y)Brother Saul, receive your sight!' And (Z)at that very time I looked up at him.

   14"And he said, '(AA)The God of our fathers has (AB)appointed you to know His will and to (AC)see the (AD)Righteous One and to hear an utterance from His mouth.

   15'For you will be (AE)a witness for Him to all men of (AF)what you have seen and heard.

   16'Now why do you delay? (AG)Get up and be baptized, and (AH)wash away your sins, (AI)calling on His name.'

Romans 6:2-4

2(A)May it never be! How shall we who (B)died to sin still live in it?

   3Or do you not know that all of us who have been (C)baptized into (D)Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?

   4Therefore we have been (E)buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was (F)raised from the dead through the (G)glory of the Father, so we too might walk in (H)newness of life.

1 Corinthians 12:12-14

12For even (A)as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, (B)so also is Christ.

   13For (C)by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether (D)Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to (E)drink of one Spirit.

   14For (F)the body is not one member, but many.

Galatians 3:26-27

26For you are all (A)sons of God through faith in (B)Christ Jesus.

   27For all of you who were (C)baptized into Christ have (D)clothed yourselves with Christ.

Colossians 2:9-14

9For in Him all the (W)fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,

   10and in Him you have been (X)made complete, and (Y)He is the head over all (Z)rule and authority;

   11and in Him (AA)you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of (AB)the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ;

   12having been (AC)buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also (AD)raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who (AE)raised Him from the dead.

   13When you were (AF)dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He (AG)made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,

   14having canceled out (AH)the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and (AI)He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

1 Peter 3:18-21

18For (AJ)Christ also died for sins (AK)once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might (AL)bring us to God, having been put to death (AM)in the flesh, but made alive (AN)in the spirit;

   19in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison,

   20who once were disobedient, when the (AO)patience of God (AP)kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of (AQ)the ark, in which a few, that is, (AR)eight (AS)persons, were brought safely through the water.

   21(AT)Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you--(AU)not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a (AV)good conscience--through (AW)the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
